Flash Flooding Reported in Webster County

DES MOINES, Iowa - The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a flash flood warning for Southeastern Webster County until 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

At 12:30 p.m., law enforcement in the area reported a thunderstorm producing heavy rain across the area.  Rainfall amounts of 4-5 inches have already fallen and flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the Southern areas of the warned area.
