Des Moines Police have a person of interest after finding two people dead Monday, Sunday's shooting on Court Avenue raises safety concerns about downtown, President Obama speaks to the COP21 summit, ISU welcomes its new head football coach, and a new intersection opens on Interstate 80.
Two children had to be removed from a Des Moines home after police also discovered two people dead inside.
Police found the bodies of 36-year-old Bryon Howard and 31-year-old Heather Belieu at a home on the 39-hundred block of Center Street Monday afternoon.
Neighbors say they're confused about the kids because they've never seen kids near the property.
Investigators are currently looking for a person of interest, 35-year-old Michael John Wanchanic.
The safety of downtown Des Moines is in question after Sunday's shooting in the busy bar district of Court Avenue that left one man dead and another injured.
Police tell us they think they know who the shooter is, but aren't ready to name that person.
Authorities say the incident has not changed the safety of the neighborhood.
Over to Paris, where the "Conference of Parties" has brought 150 world leaders together with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions worldwide.
President Obama spoke at the summit Monday, saying the U.S. is prepared to act but also stressed this must be a global effort.  
The gathering has been described as an historic turning point in addressing the issue of global climate change.
It's official, former Toledo coach Matt Campbell will take the helm of Iowa State's football team.
He was welcomed to Ames Monday with an official announcement at the university.
During the address, Campbell told everyone he plans on being at ISU for a while and plans to hit the ground running for recruiting and turning the program around beginning with the 2016 season.
A new interchange on Interstate 80 opens today, meaning a shift in traffic for drivers in West Des Moines and Waukee.
The new Grand Prairie Parkway is a diamond shaped intersection.
It's the first of it's kind here in Iowa, and one of just 19 in the nation.
The idea is that the new traffic pattern will help people getting on and off the interstate.
