DES MOINES, IA - When you think of the most famous Iowans in history, one name that usually makes the list is wrestling icon Dan Gable.
After winning three national championships as wrestler at Iowa State and an Olympic gold medal, Gable went on to coach the Iowa Hawkeyes.
From '78 to '97 Gable led Iowa to 15 national titles, nine of those consecutively; a feat that has never been matched and likely never will.
Elias Johnson sat down with Gable inside his favorite gym, Elevated Fitness Studio in Des Moines, to talk about his success on the mat and what retired life is like.
