Fort Dodge detectives looking for robbery suspect

The man allegedly robbed a convenience store early Saturday morning

FORT DODGE – Fort Dodge detectives are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a convenience store early Saturday morning.

Webster County got a call around 4:30 a.m. Saturday about a man who entered the Yes Way convenience store and demanded money from the cash register.  Authorities say the man got the money and ran away, with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the man did not use any weapons and no one was hurt during the robbery.


Police describe the suspect as a younger white man, with a thin build and about 5-foot-8. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt and tan pants at the time of the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Dodge Police at 515-573-2323 or Webster County Crime Stopper at 515-573-1444.
