Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) continues to lead Democratic challenger Patty Judge in the latest poll of the Iowa Senate race.
According to today's Quinnipiac University poll results, Grassley leads Judge 55 to 43 percent. That's a slight change for Grassley compared to the last poll, which had him at 51 percent to Judge's 42 percent.
Judge, thought to poll well with women, is not doing so well with that demographic, according to Quinnipiac. Female voters in Iowa that were polled were split, 49 to 49 percent, on Grassley and Judge. More men in Iowa vote Republican, however.
“In his six terms in the U.S. Senate, Chuck Grassley has become almost a family member across the Hawkeye State," said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll. "He is a Republican who runs even with his Democratic challenger among women, something that Republicans rarely accomplish, and his 25-point edge among men is typical of his history with voters."
