LISTEN: Emotional 911 call in Carter case

MARION COUNTY - A shocking 911 call played for jurors on Wednesday in a court case of a father versus son.

In it, Jason Carter can be heard on the phone, distraught with the operator.

"I need an ambulance, fast," said Carter. "It's Bill Carter, and I'm his son. And my mom, she's laying here on the floor, blood everywhere. She's dead. I don't know what happened."

Carter is the son of Bill and Shirley Carter. Shirley was found murdered in her home in June 2015. No one was ever charged with her murder, but now, a civil case is being played out for Marion County jurors. Bill Carter is alleging his son killed Shirley.

On Wednesday, jurors heard the entire 911 call, along with testimony from a criminologist about where Shirley was found dead, and what the crime scene looked like. There were guns in the home, but they were unloaded.
