ANKENY - Two girls are helping fund clean water in a unique way—with origami.
Paper for Water is a Texas-based nonprofit that makes origami in exchange for donations to help dig clean water wells in developing countries. Since they started over six years ago, Katherine and Isabelle Adams have raised over $1.3 million.
The sisters visited Village Hills Retirement Home in Ankeny, where they say meeting new people is the best part of what they do.
