New motion filed in Sabrina Ray murder trial

DALLAS COUNTY - Prosecutors filed a motion this week to allow Ray’s adoptive siblings to testify without their family in the courtroom.

16-year-old Sabrina Ray was found dead inside her Perry home back in May. Police say she was severely malnourished.

Sabrina's adoptive family members are accused of abusing and killing her. The parents, Marc and Misty Ray are charged with first-degree murder among several other charges. Sabrina’s adoptive brother, cousin and grandmother are all also in jail, facing charges connected to her case.

Prosecutors filed a motion this week to allow Ray's other adoptive siblings to testify without their family in the courtroom. The state claims that if the kids testify in front of their parents, it would cause trauma and they may not be willing to talk about what exactly happened inside their home.
