NEWTON - The robbery happened in Newton at the Nelson Manor.
Police say two men armed with handguns walked right in through the main entrance and told two employees to get them access to certain medication. Police say these types of facilities need to be prepared for this type of crime.
Chief Rob Burdess said, "I do believe these types of facilities, vet clinics, doctors offices, pharmacies are going to have to take a higher level of security as this epidemic moves throughout Iowa."
Police say they are following up on leads to try and catch the two men responsible.
They say they're also gathering video surveillance from nearby businesses to help with the case.
