Polk City house fire called arson

POLK CITY - A house in central Iowa went up in flames early Monday morning, and now fire investigators are calling it arson.

According to the Polk City fire department, crews got a call around midnight of a house fire at 504 Roosevelt Street. Nearby crews from Ankeny and Granger came to help put out the flames, but the house is now considered a total loss. 

No one was inside the home when the fire broke out. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, but fire officials say it's an arson case.
