HISTORIC VALLEY JUNCTION -  It's not quite Halloween yet, but that didn't stop kids from showing off their costumes Sunday in Historic Valley Junction.
The Pumpkin Walk brought together kids of all ages as they traveled through trick or treating. Free pumpkins were handed out as well as a hayrack ride. It was a great Sunday for the family event and all about having a "spooktacular" time.
"Every year it gets bigger and bigger and with the weather being so nice it's even nicer than I could have asked for. I bring my mom and step dad every year to do it for us just have a good time seeing everybody," said Mandy Schwenneker.
Beggers' night for Des Moines and West Des Moines is Friday night from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
