DES MOINES - Saturday a big crow gathered at Drake University for a very different reason.
It's the 11th Annual Reggie's Sleepout event. It's all done to benefit Iowa homeless youth centers.
Teams build cardboard shelters to live in overnight. There was also be food and activities.
The main goal is to get a feel of the daily challenges for homeless people, especially children. Every dollar raised this weekend goes directly toward programs that assist homeless youth in achieving independence and self-sufficiency.
