NEW SHARON - The principal of a North Mahaska Elementary School camped out on the roof Monday morning as part of a challenge from her students.
Principal Angela Livezey greeted students from the top of a roof, inside a tent Monday as they went into classes. Students raised $18,425 as part of their Walk-a-Thon on Friday. They voted for Livezey to camp out on the roof as part of their reward. So she did.
Livezey posted a Facebook live during her time on the roof. She advised students not to do what she did; she had help to get on top of the building.
