Multiple Crews Respond to Grain Bin Accident

FARNHAMVILLE, Iowa - Rescuers were called to a grain bin entrapment around 9 a.m. at Farmers' Co-op in Farnhamville on Thursday. A man was trapped in a bin with soybeans.

The CEO of the Farmers' Co-op confirmed that Brett Steck was the victim, and he died from his injuries. He had gone in the bin for a routine cleaning.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, along with the Farnhamville, Rockwell City, Lohrville, Churdan, Gowrie, and Reading-Cedar Fire Departments all responded to the call.
