GRIMES – Polk County deputies are investigating a case of child enticement around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, near the 600 block of S. James.

Officials say an 8th grade girl reportedly got of a school bus in the area when she noticed a red minivan stop in the street next to her.

The driver of the van, described as a white, heavy-set female with long black hair, asked the girl if she needed a ride.  After the girl told the woman no, the van drove off.

Deputies searched the area, but were unable to find the driver or the vehicle.

Now, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help.  If anyone witnessed the incident, they are asked to call the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 515-286-333.
