Search crews spent much of Tuesday evening looking for a missing teen Dalton Tucker, 13, in rural Marion county.
Tucker has not been seen since about 10 a.m. Monday, after he left his mother a note stating he was running away.
"I found a note on the table stating he ran away and saying not to go looking for him," said Tucker's mother, Heather Turner.
Turner says her son has not contacted any friends or family since.
The Marion County Sheriff's office, several local volunteer fire departments, and a group of volunteers combed the area near Highway 316 near Runnells. Tucker was last seen in that area carrying a small backpack.
Search crews did not find the teen, but did find clothing that appears to have belonged to him. They say they will now be moving their search to nearby Warren county.
"It's odd for a boy to not have contact with anyone for such a long time," said Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt. "This boy doesn't have phone. He's involved in different activities and we've talked to those people and they haven't heard from him."
Turner says she has a message for her son:
"Dalton we just want you to come home," said Turner. "We love you, miss you and everyone is looking for you. Come home."
Anyone with information on Tucker's whereabouts in the last 48 hours should contact the Marion County Sheriff's Office at 641-828-2220.
