(WAUKEE) - A business in Waukee became a crime scene Wednesday afternoon.

A police chase came to a dramatic end at Insurance Auto Auctions on Ute Avenue.

A man in a stolen SUV vaulted over a fence and onto several cars, after a chase that went up to 100 miles per hour.

It all started on I-80 westbound in the Merle Hay Road area when a trooper ran his plates and the vehicle came up stolen.

The trooper tried to pull the man over and he wouldn't stop. He got off on exit 117, before crossing two lanes of traffic right in front of a Waukee police officer, then vaulting the fence.

The driver was taken to the hospital with severe head injuries.

No word yet on charges, but no drugs or alcohol were found in the vehicle.
