DES MOINES – A verdict for the man accused of fatally shooting a 30-year-old Grimes man is expected to come down Wednesday afternoon.

David Moffitt, 27, of Pleasant Hill, is charged with first-degree murder for the death of Justin Michael.

Police found Michael dead from a gunshot wound inside a home at 409 SE Jacob St. in Grimes in the early morning hours in early May 2014.

The two worked together at Wells Fargo, but police were hushed about a probable motive in the case.
