High School Football Legend Retires

        One of Iowa's all time winningest High School football coaches will no longer roam the sidelines on Friday nights. After 46 years of coaching Ken Winkler has retired. Winkler spent the last 29 seasons at West Marshall leading the Trojans to a State Championship in 1999.
        Winkler also won a State Championship at Treynor and retires with a career record of 321-128-3. After nearly five decades of coaching Winkler felt it was time to focus on other things in life. The search for a replacement at West Marshall will being Wednesday at a school board meeting.
