The Newton Cardinals are off to a surprising 5-0 start to the 2016 season. It's been a year of change for the Cardinals, who are back in Class 4A for the first time since 2009. The Cardinals' biggest change though is the absence of teammate and friend, Trenton Brady. Brady lost his life in a car accident this summer. The team has put a TB-52 sticker on the back of their helmets this season, and they say without the feeling of him being out there on Friday Nights, they don't know if they'd be as successful.

The Cardinals will look to move to 6-0 Friday when the visit Fort Dodge.
