For Iowa State fans that plan on traveling to Friday night's Sweet Sixteen game, they're going to pay quite a bit for tickets.

Roundtrip flights out of Des Moines to New York City are $515-600 and tickets for the double header in Madison Square Gardens are selling for $470-630. The grand total brings fan's tabs close to $1,300 and that's the start of it.

The Iowa State Alumni Association made their flight and hotel package available Sunday after the Cyclone's won the game.

"We went ahead and put it live online and by noon the next day, it was sold out!" said Carole Gieseke. Over 135 charter tickets were sold in less than 24 hours.

Some fans got a sweet surprise. Austin and Adam Brower's dad sent them a text with the Statue of Liberty and an airplane and that's all they needed to see.

"I just freaked out when I got the phone call and my dad said "Want go to New York?" and I said, "Of course!" said Austin Brower.

"I think just being there in Madison Square Gardens, watching the Cyclones, it'll be a dream come true," said Adam Brower.
