WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — May is half-way over, and some teachers are saying their official goodbyes to their students as summer closes in.
At Montessori Children's House, it is no different. Their end-of-the-year plans usually revolve around a picnic at the park, good food and a lot of socializing with their students before summer break.
This year, COVID-19 flipped those plans upside down.
Teachers have been Zooming their students just to see them.
With car after car spread throughout parking lot after parking lot, students were able to say their final goodbyes before next school year.
Even though the virus may be keeping most people a part, this group of teachers and students found a way to be together.
