Des Moines-

Des Moines native Michael Annett, the Richard Petty Motorsports Nationwide Series driver, will be testing his #43 Ford Mustang on Iowa Speedway’s 7/8-mile tri-oval this Monday evening, May 27, from 5:00 to 11:00 pm.

Annett’s first test at the Newton facility since sustaining injuries in a February accident at Daytona will be conducted under the lights, and is open to the public in a special ‘drive-in’ backstretch viewing area located west of the speedway administration building at 3333 Rusty Wallace Drive.

Annett will be among the more than 40 entries attempting to make the field for Iowa Speedway’s first NASCAR Nationwide Series race of the season, the ‘DuPont Pioneer 250′ on Saturday, June 8.  Tickets for the 250-lap event start at $20, and are available for purchase online at www.iowaspeedway.com, or by phoning the toll-free ticketing hotline at 866-RUSTY-GO (787-8946).
