Local 5 is continuing to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month throughout May.
And it wouldn't be a celebration without boba tea — or bubble tea — as others call it. The drink was made popular in Asian countries in the 80s, but now, it's gained booming popularity here in the U.S.
Pho Real Kitchen & Bar in downtown Des Moines showed the "Good Morning Iowa" team how to make their own boba tea drinks.
