DES MOINES, Iowa — There may be no Iowa State Fair this year, but that didn't stop people from flocking to the fairgrounds Tuesday to get a bucket or four of one of the most popular fair staples: Barksdale's cookies.
In honor of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, the Iowa State Fair opened their gates to patrons from all over, selling buckets of Barksdale's cookies for a discount price - and people could get as many as they could possibly buy.
