A crash in Buchanan County sends several people to the hospital around 8:30 Monday morning.
A car crashed into a minibus at the intersection of HWY 281 and Fairbank-Amish Blvd. Police say the car failed to stop at the intersection, then hit the mus as it was traveilng east.
Follwoing the impact, the buss rolled, trapping one of the riders inside the vehicle. First responders were able to get everyone out.
Three people had to be take to the hospital by ambulance, the fourth was transported by helicopter.
” When you’re dealing with buses or big vehicles, you deal with more injuries,” Sheriff Bill Wolfgram said. “Being in a rural area like we are, then we have to start pulling in resources from other agencies.” Wolfgram said.
Three people were in the bus at the time of the crash, deaded to Oelwein from Fairbank.
