WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. Joni Ernst had the chance to voice her opinion to President Trump regarding health care.
Ernst was among the group of senators who had lunch with Trump at the White House to talk about health care reform, in particular the Senate’s version of repealing the Affordable Care Act.
“We had a productive meeting this afternoon, and discussions will continue to take place over health care reform,” said Ernst. “The reality in Iowa is that continuing the status quo simply isn’t an option because Obamacare is unsustainable.”
Ernst did not get into the specifics about what’s in the Senate’s version of the bill. There’s talk that the Senate may put up its version of reform to a vote by the end of June.
