WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa will soon get a copy of the FBI’s supplemental investigation into Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court of the United States.

“I think that anybody who lies under oath, which is a felony, makes a big difference,” Grassley said on a conference call Wednesday.

Sen. Grassley also stated he believes something did happen to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford in her high school years, but is still waiting on corroboration that Kavanaugh is responsible.

“I know that she was attacked,” Grassley said. “But I don’t know if Brett Kavanaugh did it.”

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders responded to reaction from a speech Tuesday night in which President Trump appeared to mock Dr. Ford’s allegations.

“I don’t like what the president said,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina).

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Kentucky) plans to vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation later this week.
