AMES – With below freezing temperatures, many people who are homeless have to fend for themselves to try and find warmth. But one man in Ames is fighting to change that.
“It sucks, I don’t even know how to describe it in the right words,” says Joshua Johnson, who used to be homeless himself.
Now that he is back on his feet, he is paying it back to help get homeless people out of the cold.
He’s raised about $500 to put homeless people in a hotel room.
Johnson has only helped a handful of homeless individualds so far, but says that his fight to help the homeless is not ending any time soon.
