DES MOINES- An amazing opportunity for Iowa small business owners and entrepreneurs!
On Tuesday, Google hosted a workshop in Des Moines to help small businesses get online.
Iowa Economic Development Director Debi Durham kicked off the event with keynote remarks and community organizations partnered with the event to help small businesses connect with customers and expand the local economy in Des Moines.
Four in five consumers use search engines to find information about local businesses but 47% of US businesses don’t have a website and only 37% have claimed or upgraded their business information on a serach engine.
“Small businesses are the backbone of Iowa’s Economy, so making sure they have the tools necessary to market themselves is essential,” said Iowa Economic Development Director, Debi Durham, “Google’s Get Your Business Online workshops are a great way for Iowa companies to build their online presence, which helps them grow their business as well.”
