MONTEZUMA – As the days go on, there isn’t much law enforcement can say publicly about the search for 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts.
A fund has been set up through Crime Stoppers of Iowa, which is now over $200,000.
Every day, the hope is that Mollie will be returned home.
“It has been a whirlwind of interviews and then some family time,” said Mollie’s father Rob Tibbetts.
Along with the media, the family is still in the dark with most of the investigation. Leads are being followed, but officials can’t disclose what may endanger a current investigation.
“At this point we are not ready to disclose what that timeline is,” said Kevin Winker with the Iowa Department of Public Safety. “I am not going to confirm anything related to the results of a lead.”
Mollie’s family, however, knows that someone out there has information critical to the investigation.
“Mollie is our daughter, Mollie is our sister, Mollie is our girlfriend, and it is so hard .. it is really hard,” Rob Tibbetts said. “We ust don’t have time for our feelings. We just have to wake up, fight for Mollie and go find her.”
