WASHINGTON — Rep. Cindy Axne (D) has written a letter to eight different federal agencies, asking for information about how much disaster relief spending has been allocated to Iowa.

“I have heard from many constituents in flood-affected areas who have yet to receive assistance,” the letter reads. “While Congress has ensured the funding is now available, communities and individuals don’t have the guidance and assistance to know where and when to apply for disaster relief.”

The letter was sent to the following agencies:

  • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
  • Department of Agriculture (USDA)
  • Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
  • Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
  • Department of Commerce
  • Environment Protection Agency (EPA)
