IOWA CITY – The Iowa Board of Regents approved a tuition increase for the University of Iowa at their meeting Wednesday.
Undergraduate students at the university will see a 3% increase at the start of the 2016-2017 school year.
Iowa students attending Iowa State University and University of Northern Iowa will see tuition increases at the start of the spring semester – January, 2016. The Regents previously approved these increases.
The increases for all three state universities come after state lawmakers failed to approve the Regents’ funding request last legislative session.
