Two Iowa Men Sentenced for Child Porn

SOUTHWEST IOWA – Two Iowans have been sentenced in separate cases for possessing child pornography.

Out of Pottawattamie County, David Leon Breneman, 49, of Council Bluffs, was sentenced to 30 months in prison.  He was also ordered to serve 10 years of supervised release after his prison sentence.

Investigators say from May to Dec. 2012, Breneman got images from the Internet of underage children engaging in sexually explicit conduct.  He pleaded guilty to the charge on April 2, 2015.

In Cass County, Jimmy Joe Misner, 54, of Atlantic, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for possessing child pornography.  He was also ordered to serve 10 years of supervised release after serving his prison sentence.

An investigation revealed that from Sept. to Dec. 2013, Misner downloaded over 1,700 images and 97 videos of child pornography. 

Misner pleaded guilty on May 1, 2015 to the child porn charge.
