MARTENSDALE, Iowa — Martensdale-St. Marys is playing for more than just wins this season on the basketball court. They're playing for teammate, Brooks Trom, who is battling leukemia after being diagnosed with cancer this fall. The Blue devils shaved their heads, and have dawned shirts in support of their friend.
Tuesday they opened their season with a big win over Interstate-35, 88-70.
