URBANDALE, Iowa — Falling lumber from a pickup truck caused standstill traffic in the westbound lanes of I-35/80 at 86th St in Urbandale early this morning.
Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Alex Dinkla told Local 5 that lumber fell out of a pickup truck's cargo bed, hitting "approximately a dozen vehicles" around 6 a.m.
No injuries were reported, but many of the vehicles did "sustain disabling damage," Dinkla noted.
