Pleasant conditions have greeted our state again on Saturday, but we are looking for a major rise in heat and humidity for the upcoming week.
Sunday will still be a decent day with a few more clouds and high temperatures in the low 70s. A few sprinkles will be possible Sunday afternoon, but most spots will stay dry.
Isolated thunderstorms are expected across northern Iowa on Monday morning before we start to heat up. Another round of storms will pull in to the state late on Tuesday night and then will remain scattered during the morning and afternoon on Wednesday. A few storms by the middle of the week could be strong to severe.
Southwest winds will ramp up on Monday, allowing temperatures to climb into the mid 80s. We will see an even bigger jump into the low 90s by Tuesday. This will be the hottest weather so far this year. Certainly the humidity will start to rise, too.
Have a good weekend!
