Low 80s for first week of Fall

It'll be a warm start to the first full week of the new season! Cooler weather arrives late in the week along with the chance for some much needed moisture!

COLORADO, USA — FORECAST BY: Meteorologist Danielle Grant

THIS EVENING AT A GLANCE: A beautiful day and start to the first full week of Fall! A blocking ridge of high pressure will continue to build over the region, bringing warm temperatures and mainly dry conditions to the Denver metro area.

Highs will soar into the lower 80s again Tuesday with mostly sunny skies. A bit of moisture will sneak underneath the ridge, so look out for a few storms to move across the High Country Tuesday. The foothills may see a few in the later afternoon with a couple storms rolling off into Jefferson and Douglas counties and along the Palmer Divide. Downtown Denver should stay dry.

Wednesday will be a bit drier and warmer with afternoon highs in the lower to middle 80s.

Late Thursday and into Friday, our next system will flatten the ridge somewhat allowing for clouds and a greater chance for showers and storms over the state.

A cold front will sweep through the state by Saturday morning bringing clouds, scattered showers, a few storms as well as cooler temperatures. Denver will stay in the low 70s both Saturday and Sunday, certainly a taste of the fall season!

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies tonight, low 50.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny early, partly cloudy afternoon, isolated t'storms in the foothills/southern suburbs, high around 81; partly cloudy skies overnight, low 51.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny, warm and dry, high 83; partly cloudy overnight, low 55.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny and warm, high 84; mostly cloudy with an isolated storm overnight, low 54.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy with scattered afternoon/evening showers, high 77; mostly cloudy with a few showers and storms overnight, low 49.

SATURDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy and cooler, scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm, high 70; mostly cloudy with isolated showers or a storm overnight, low 47.

SUNDAY: Partly sunny, breezy and seasonal, high 72; partly cloudy overnight, low 46.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy, breezy and cooler, high 69; partly cloudy overnight, low 50.
