More rain chances, but no severe weather the rest of this week

We'll have wait until Friday a completely dry and sunny day

It actually turned out to be a pretty nice day here in central Iowa with most of the rain staying around us. Highs topped out in the upper 70s to even lower 80s where there was enough sunshine.

There will be some isolated showers coming in this evening from the southeast with variably cloudy skies. Late tonight, showers and storms will reform in a line generally stretching from northeast to southwest Iowa. This rain will stick around Thursday morning before drifting southeast away from us in the afternoon. Tomorrow afternoon should be pretty nice with highs in the mid 70s.

We'll finally get a dry, sunny and comfortable day on Friday although a little breezier in the afternoon. The humidity will be much lower and highs will be in the low 70s. Saturday will likely start dry, but there is a chance for rain showers in the afternoon especially west of I-35. Rain may linger in southwest Iowa Saturday night before most dry out on Sunday. Highs go from the 60s Saturday to the low 70s on Sunday.

We're still on track to warm up quite a bit next week. We could still have some scattered showers and storms around some days, but low to mid 80s are likely much of next week.

Have a good evening!
