LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Brrrr it’s a cold morning! A frost advisory has been issued until 9 am EDT for most of our viewing area. Valley and hill locations are especially likely to see patchy frost develop thanks to a mostly clear sky and temperatures in the 30s. Temperatures will quickly recover after sunrise thanks to plenty of sunshine. Highs today in the lower 60s with an east wind 45-10 mph.
Enjoy today’s sunshine because the forecast turns soggy again starting late tonight into early Thursday morning. A strong, slow moving storm system will move in from the west tonight and almost sit on top of us through Saturday. This means we’ll see occasional rain and storms for about a 60-hour period starting early tomorrow morning. Most rain should fall Thursday with a drier period starting Thursday evening into Friday sunrise. Severe weather not expected. It’ll be cloudy with steady temps in the 50s. Over 1 inch of rain will be possible during this time.
Halloween will be a much nicer day. Sunshine returns and temperatures jump into the 60s. It’ll be a bit chilly for trick-or-treating as we cool into the 50s after sunset.
TODAY: Warmer afternoon after a chilly morning. High: 63°. Wind: E 5-10 mph.
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with rain before sunrise. Low: 50°. Wind: E 5 mph.
THURSDAY: A rainy day. High: 589°. Wind: SE 10 mph.
