CLINTON – Lieutenant Eric Hosette, the Clinton first responder who died while fighting a massive fire last weekend was laid to rest on Saturday.

The snow created a serene atmosphere as the town attended his memorial service.

Fire Chief Mike Brown delivered the eulogy.

“Eric’s presence, his spirit, his easy going demeanor, and his passion for the job will be missed everyday, but we will not forget him” said Chief Brown.

The Chief reminded all in attendance that Lieutenant Hosette spent his last hours doing something he loved most. He has been laid to rest in Charlotte, Iowa where he served seven years as a firefighter.
