DES MOINES – Members of Iowa’s Congressional delegation are all happy that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report, though redacted, has been released to the public and Congress.
On Thursday, Rep. Cindy Axne (D-Iowa) was in Des Moines at an event. Local 5 asked her about her thoughts on the release of the report that investigated the president and his campaign.
“Well, I would certainly like to see that the full report is released to the public, and that we make sure that every piece of information that was included so Americans can make a decision for themselves,” said Axne.
“I’ve long called for as much of the Mueller report that can be made public under the law to be made available to the ones who paid millions for it—the American people. I look forward to reviewing the report,” said Sen. Joni Ernst.
The report is getting mixed reactions on Capitol Hill; some Democrats are calling for Trump’s impeachment, while Republicans are celebrating and want the country to move on.
