CLIVE – The Clive Fire Department discovered a thin layer of diesel fuel at Walnut Creek. It isn’t an active spill, but if it isn’t contained it could be harmful.
Investigators with the DNR can’t pinpoint the source of the spill, but think it began at a truck stop in Urbandale.
As crews race against the clock to get rid of the diesel, people hope there aren’t lingering affects.
It is unclear when the investigation will be over.
The DNR says they are using brooms to absorb the diesel before it goes into the creek.
