DES MOINES – It was a night of frights, all while helping out the community.
Neighbors in Sherman Hill teamed up with DMARC to collect non-perishables for the food pantry.
All the houses got out their spooky displays and invented everyone to come check it out.
All they asked was for in return was a donation.
“It’s wonderful, obviously, is a hunger is a year-round issue, and we have an ongoing partnership with organizations like the Neighborhood Association to really get that message out there and let people know,” said John Robinson of DMARC.
This is the 4th year DMARC has partnered with Sherman Hill. DMARC collected more than 1,000 food items at Tuesday’s event
