Nicolette Lane, her daughter, and granddaughter all have lyme disease.
Nicolette struggled with various illnesses due to Lyme Disease from a tick bite that she never knew she got. She was sick for years before she was diagnosed.
She unknowlingly passed the disease to her children during pregnancy, and her daughter passed in on to her kids.
Nicolette said, “People think of it as an easy tick bite but you can’t feel it when ticks bite you, you don’t know they’re on you until you really check yourself and your pets.”
According the Centers for Disease Control insect bites have steadily been on the rise for years. If you have a bulls eye rash on your skin, head to the doctor right away to see if the tick bite carries Lyme Disease.
Lyme disease is not covered by most insurances and has lead to financial difficulties for families.
A gofundme page has been set up for Nicolette’s family and those who would like to lend their support.
