LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Iowa native Maddie Poppe won ABC's 'American Idol' Monday night following the nationwide vote.
Poppe beat out Caleb Lee Hutchinson of Dallas, Ga. and Gabby Barrett of Pittsburgh, Pa. to win the title after vying for votes after three performances on Sunday night.
Local 5 has followed Poppe since her audition on the show, and is in Los Angeles covering the two-night finale.
