Iowa prison inmate dies from natural causes

ANAMOSA –– The Iowa Department of Corrections says an inmate has died over the weekend.

Leaders say Roger Sellers died Sunday morning in a hospice room at the Anamosa State Penitentiary, where he had been housed because of chronic illness.

Sellers was 51 years old.

Sellers was serving a life sentence for first-degree murder from Polk County. His incarceration began in June 1997.
