Nevada named a Main Street Iowa Community

NEVADA — Nevada has joined 53 others as a Main Street Iowa community.

The town received recognition for its dedication to historic preservation, and using main street to help attract new workers and expand local businesses.

Since Main Street Iowa began, state leaders say it’s brought nearly $2 billion in private investment, more than 3 million volunteer hours, nearly 5,000 new businesses and more than 15,000 jobs.
