In your Friday Consumer Matters, rising tariffs on Chinese goods will  impact Walmart’s motto “Save Money, Live Better” and Boeing says the software system blamed in two deadly crashes has been fixed.

Walmart is now warning shoppers, rising tariffs on chinese imports will mean rising prices.  Macy’s said the same thing earlier this week.  Walmart says its furniture business is already being affected and the latest tariffs from Washington could affect clothing and accessories.

Boeing now says it is done with a software fix for the system on its 737 Max 8 jets blamed in two deadly crashes. The planes have been grounded worldwide and several airlines say they likely won’t be back in the air till later summer.  Boeing’s in the process of submitting a plan on pilot training to the FAA.
