Obama Talks Education in Des Moines

News

DES MOINES — President Obama wants to make sure high school students are filling out the paperwork and qualifying for as much student aid as possible before college.

He visited North High School in Des Moines with the Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan.

The two discussed two free years of community college, a streamlined FAFSA form, and making sure students apply to several colleges.

They picked North High School for their visit because the school has made dramatic improvements over the last several years by adding technology to classrooms and improving test scores.
